Tonight, March 10 is my official start date as an SEO Specialist for a Promotional Products Company, located in Ortigas Center, Pasig City. My main duty is to generate traffic and improve rankings to all assigned affiliate sites and generate leads from them. Many of these sites needs a lot of work, both on On Page and Off Page. I am aiming to give it my best and be an asset to the company.
Wish me luck!
March 11 Update: So far, the night shift work was quite hard to handle. Maybe because I only had two hours of sleep yesterday (A stupid move when I decided to watch World Trade Center on HBO Asia from 1pm to 3pm) and I am still awake and won’t sleep for the next 5 hours. I guess to stay awake and functional when working nights, one needs to have a good long sleep, 8 hours before work. The work was okay, it’s mostly optimizing assigned affiliate sites (200+ of them that needs a lot of work) so we can generate leads and buyers. What I need now is a good long rest and prepare for more nocturnal work.
April 13 Update: From my original schedule of 9am to 6pm Philippines time, my work schedule is now changed to match with the time when most people in the United States are browsing the Internet. My new shift starts from 3am up to 12noon Tuesday to Saturday. I am still trying to master my work and try to improve my productivity and increase my output. Well anyway, one month na ako! hehehe Ano ‘to, Monthsary? LOL
May 09 Update: The new schedule (3am to 12 noon) has been very productive for me. I no longer feel sleepy at work anymore. My performance have slowly but surely improved and I am given a lot of new work to do, new sites to handle. I am now also doing some paid link campaigns for the main site as well planning for a major site upgrade very soon. The company funded SEO Book Training Program has been very helpful for me in further improving my SEO strategies. More updates very soon.
May 15 Update: Lesson: Always look into the future and always prepare for it. You’ll never know what will happen until it happens.
June 22 Update: My leads are now going up! I need to learn more on Lead Generation as well as other tips on driving more potential paying customers to our sites. We are also working on generating hundreds of new pages for our SEO effort, targetting long tail keywords, event targeted keywords and location targeted keywords. More updates very soon.
October 3 Update: Sorry! I totally forgot to update this post. So busy with work. But the great thing is I was able to exceed all expectations and reached the highest number of leads generated ever. Yehey! What I need to do next is plan for the future of the company website and all our other sites as I am now appointed to manage the SEO initiatives for the company. All thanks to God who have always been there for me.
