Withdraw PayPal to Philippine Banks

1st Update: I can’t add my bank right now, I need to call Banco de Oro first and get the right Bank Code. Last year, when I asked BDO for their Bank Code, they instead gave me a Swift Code, which I think is correct. But PayPal cannot accept Bank Codes less than 9 digits, BDO only has 8 (BNORPHMM). My BDO Bank Account is a Peso Savings Account.

2nd Update: I called BDO Call Center (631-8000) and asked for the Banco de Oro Bank Code for PayPal. Unfortunately they do not have any Bank Code other than the 8-Character Swift Code that they have. Maybe very soon they will be giving out their Bank Code when more people will ask for it.

3rd Update: I now have the Banco De Oro (BDO) Bank Code. It is 010531705. This is from Banco De Oro Reposo Branch. They call it BDO Branch Routing Symbol Transit Number or BRSTN. They said it is the number found a check issued by the Bank. That could also mean this number is only from the specific branch. You might need to go to your own branch to get the BRSTN. You can use this number also at your own 250 Peso risk. If you say “Banco De Oro Bank Code” or BDO Bank Code” or “BDO PayPal Code”, they will only be scratching their heads and give you the SWIFT Code. I will still have to test it to see if I have the right code required by PayPal or will I pay P250 if this is not the right number.

4th Update: I’ve just made my first PayPal withdrawal to my Banco De Oro account. I will post again in 5-7 working days, probably February 6th. Thanks for reading.

5th Update: Finally PayPal released their own list of Bank Codes in the Philippines, including the BDO Bank Codes. The number is 010530667. Should I cancel my first transaction and use this instead or not? More Bank Codes here. A very dumb move from PayPal for not releasing this when they told the world they will be having this new feature, leaving all of us guessing!

6th Update: According to their Help Center, you CANNOT cancel a withdrawal. I can only hope the BDO Bank Code I provided earlier (before they released their Philippines Bank Code List) will still work this coming February 6th or I will be fined for entering the unofficial Bank Code. More updates soon.

7th Update: It worked! The transfer was a success using the BDO Bank Code (010531705) I got from the bank and it only took 4 days!

Well, what do you know, PayPal finally decided to add a Philippine Bank account due to a very popular demand from PayPal Pinoys all over the Internet! Months ago I opened a Union Bank EON account because PayPal Philippines accounts were only able to withdraw money to a US Bank Account and to a Credit Card / Debit Card. Now that they have this withdraw to PH Banks option, I think this is another good news to all of us, especially to those who doesn’t have a Credit / Debit Card.To add your Bank Account in the Philippines, what they will need is your Name, the Bank Name, Bank Code (Swift Code?) and Account Number to be able to send money to your Bank Accounts in the Philippines. I will try to add mine and will post updates in the future. I also noticed there is only a US and Philippines listed under country, could this be only offered to these two countries? Ang swerte naman ng Pinoy! Update: Indonesians can also withdraw their money from PayPal to their Indonesian Bank accounts.
Withdraw PayPal to Philippine BanksWill it be Goodbye UnionBank then? We will wait and see.

    1st. you must have credit card, or at least Unionbank EON Card so you can activate the withdraw option.

    2nd. then you can add your bank as a secondary withdraw destination.

    I have a problem with my paypal. I am trying to widraw with my bdo atm account, but everytime I enter my debit card (bdo atm) a prompt message appears saying that the card is denied. what is this about? does it mean i cannot use my bank account from bdo to widraw money?

    My status there is unverified and asking me to:
    Link and confirm my debit or credit card – Link and confirm your card to get Verified and lift limits on your PayPal acccount.
    Does it mean that i cannot transfer the money to my bdo bank without debit card like the atm?

    @kristine – yes you need to confirm it first. you need paypal code for this. I would recommend you get EON Card from Union Bank to enable withdrawal and then add BDO as secondary withdrawal destination. I think they require a Credit Card first before you can withdraw to banks and EON Card works as CC alternative.

    @daniel, yes there is a fee if you withdraw less than 7000 pesos and 250 if your bank information is wrong.

    I have a BDO account and a PayPal account. I want to enter BDO as my source bank in my PayPal. It asks me of my Bank Code and account number. I do not know the bank code. Is this per branch or BDO has one bank code number regardless of the branch where I opened my BDO account?

    My bank is Unionbank, I used the bankcode listed in the link below and it worked. I was not charged of any amount. I just hope the bankcodes for other banks will also work like as mine.

    and one more question… pwede din ba kumuha ng pera from my BDO account to fund my PayPal (sa US kasi pwede aside from credit/debit cards e).

    i just called up BDO at 631-8000 and asked for their bank code for paypal purposes, they (customer service rep Pia) said that there are always inquires about it, but that they cannot and do not have a BDO bank code. Huh?

    Hi alfredo. Good post.

    I think people are confused with Paypal because they mix up the “link and confirm” process, and the “withdrawal” process.

    The “link and confirm process” verifies your Paypal account and allows you to lift the $500 sending limit. To do this step, you need to have a credit card, or ANY debit card with a Visa or Mastercard logo. (later, if your Paypal account is not verified, you won’t be able to withdraw money).

    Next, the withdrawal process. First you need money in your Paypal account (of course, how can you withdraw if there’s nothing in your Paypal). Second, you need to be a verified Paypal member (see link and confirm process above). Third, you need a bank account in the Philippines. That’s it.

    If you have all the requirements stated above, then you can withdraw money. Just go to Paypal “add a bank” feature and add the details of your Philippine BANK CODE.

    Then, after that, go to the Paypal “Withdraw” feature and enter the amount that you want to transfer to your bank account.

    I didn’t mean to repeat everything you said, Alfredo. I just want to help some readers who may still be confused with Paypal and needed a more step by step procedure.

    Don’t rely on local bank representatives and employees to answer your Paypal questions and concerns. They are CLUELESS about Paypal. They are just on the receiving end. Paypal initiates ALL money transfers…not the local bank.

    Michelle, hinde mo kailangan ang credit/debit card to withdraw money. Bank account lang ang kailangan mo. HOWEVER, you need a credit card/debit card to VERIFY your account at Paypal (if you are not a verified member, you cannot make any withdrawals).

    I’m not sure if you can use the BDO cashcard to verify your Paypal account. I think you really need a certified credit card. Pwede rin yung Unionbank Eon Card. So far, yun pa lang ang alam kong card na pwedeng gamitin pang-verify ng Paypal account.

    After you verify your Paypal account, all you need is a bank account…and then you can transfer your Paypal money directly to your bank account (as opposed to popular belief, akala ng marame sa DEBIT CARD wini-withdraw ang pera. This is entirely wrong. In some cases, pwede i-withdraw sa debit card and pera, pero it usually takes longer, especially with the Unionbank EON).

    Ganito lang kadali yan:

    To verify your Paypal account, you need a credit card.

    To withdraw your money, you need a bank account.

    That’s it.

    Guys tip lng, VCC png verify nyo (virtual credit card) mura lng yon 5-7$ search lng kayo sa net pwede nyong kunin sa unverified paypal nyo ung pangbayad tsaka nyo i add yung bank account nyo pra walang hustle.. ganyan kc ginawa ko bumili lng ako VCC.. EON card kc hinahanapan pa ko ng TIN at SSS eh sa bhay lng nmn ako nagttrabaho..

    thanks for your advise…ilang beses na me nkapg withraw sa EON UNIONBANK card ko.kya lng…ngkamali me kanina..hindi ko na iset yung bank account sa eon unionbank, instead na iset ko cia sa BDO cash card account ko! sorry engots lng minsan,,anyways..paano kya yun, di na nga pwede mag cancel ng withrawal…..ang haba noh..

    ..if basahin nyo lahat ng nasa post..eto ang summary of steps on what to do for paypal..

    1) create an account on paypal..

    2) para maverify ng paypal na di ka fraudster(mandurugas),you should do the “Link and Confirm”..

    3) to be able to be verified by paypal and do “Link and Confirm”,you will need a credit card..(as what people says here,so far ang Union Bank EON card pa lang ang nagwowork..)

    4) after maverify ng paypal na lehitimo/legit ka na person,pwede ka na mag add ng bank account (ang bank account na yan ang gagamitin mo to withdraw the money..)..

    5) bank accounts should be “savings account” of any banks on this list.. http://pages.ebay.ph/bankwithdrawal/bank_codes_ph.html

    6) after nyan..you can withdraw the money from paypal..

    7) then..you can withdraw it to your bank accounts..

    ..to make it all short and not confusing..

    CREDIT CARD (e.g. UnionBank EON) => used to verify/confirm/identify your individuality..

    BANK ACCOUNT (e.g. BDO,LandBank) => used to withdraw your money from paypal..

    ..as for the BDO cash card..hinde daw nagwowork ang cash card..

    Hi sa lahat. Magtatanong lang po ako kumbakit ndi ko malink ung eon unionbank card ko sa paypal. kumbaga ang status ko e unverified pa din. pag kiniclick ko ung get verified & enter the infos eto ang lumalabas. This credit card has been denied by the bank that issued your credit card. For details on why your card was denied, please contact your credit card issuer’s customer service department. Or, you may want to try adding a different credit card.

    tumawag na po ako sa unionbank customer service nila, ansabi naman e wala clang nakikitang problema sa card ko. baka daw sa information. chinek ko ung information sa unionbank profile ko, ok naman. pero ndi pa rin talaga malink.
    wla naman clang binigay na expuse number… san ba nakikita un? o pano makuha un?

    Hi Lara… meron na din pong 300 pesos ung eon card ko pero hanggang ngayon ndi ko pa din sya malink e. wala pa kasi akong time ngaun para pumunta sa unionbank.

    @che: in my experience it took 7 working days until i verified my eon sa paypal…i emailed the customer care sa union but it take 2-3 days mag reply but i still kept on emailing them. One thing i can suggest to u is that mag register ka sa cyber account nla first then link ur eon sa paypal…after u registered u have to wait 3-7 days again para maka login ka sa cyber account. once u logged in na u can transfer funds na from ur paypal to ur bank account once u linked and confirm in paypal..i hope this helps.,.

    Che: Did u try calling them? can u login to your cyberaccount??in my experience it took me 3-4 days to login to my cyber account,..was worried but i just keep on logging in everyday until i was able to.,and they will also email u if registered ka na sa cyberaccount nla..the best advice i can give u is to call them or go the the nearest Union bank branch…i hope this helps,

Tumawag na ako sa customer service nila, ung domestic toll free, ansabi e wala naman daw silang nakikitang problema. pumunta na din ako kahapon sa unionbank olongapo branch, kung saan ko inopen ung card ko. pinapatawag ako sa customer service. sinabi ko nga na tumawag na ako. sabi mag email daw ako, sabi ko nag email na din po ako, walang reply. ilang beses na din akong tumawag, wala naman daw problema. hindi daw nila alam. issuance lang daw sila. they also asked me to replace the card. magbabayad na naman ako. e hindi ko pa nga nagagamit ung unang card ko. nakakahigh blood na nga e kasi kung saan saan nila ako tinuturo.

    Che: so sorry for what happened to you.ive enrolled also twice but i failed to get the card that is why i re enrolled and fortunately i link and confirm na..to ur problem i think its up to u if u re enroll again if u still want to use eon. i hope it all goes well for u soon

    Serenity: i think it has to be ur name on the credit card,,,its in the rules sa paypal verification

    Che: yes, wla kasin union bank did2 sa place ko i had to go to cebu. I enrolled but di ko nakuha yun card agad..mga 1 month pa fortunately when u enroll wla pang fee so i re enrolled again and got it when my card came sa branch nla… if u have paid the fee and may balance and u re enroll again do u have to pay it coz dli mo naman nagamit dba.,..maybe they can waive it and give u another card..its just a suggestion che maybe u can ask them for it,,,hope this helps

    Hi Lara. Nagbayad na po ako dati ng annual fee. P350. Kung magrereplace ako ng card P150 daw ang bayad. Tingin mo kapag nagreplace kaya ako ng card e magiging okey na. Kc baka mamaya nagreplace ako ng card, nagbayad uli, tapos ndi din pala malilink. Nag email na ang unionbank sa kin nung july 6 asking for informations. Binigay ko na pero hanggang ngaun wala pa akong nareceive the message uli from them.

    Lara: Hi! Nag email na po ang unionbank sa kin, nanghihingi ng information. Nabigay ko na den after one week saka sila magrereply. Nanghihingi na naman ng additional information. Puro ganun. Hindi ko pa rin nalilink ung card ko sa paypal.

    Ok lang naman kahit wala kang credit card, kahit debit card lang ok na para maging verified ung paypal mo. mag open ka ng Eon card sa UnionBank. P350 ang bayad yearly, zero maintenance. Para makuha mo ung pera sa paypal mo. O kaya kung may kakilala kang may paypal na verified na, pwede mo itransfer sa kanya ung pera mo from paypal mo to paypal nya.

    Hello. Sa mga nakapag-withdraw na thru Allied Bank, ask ko lang kung gaano katagal ma-transfer yung pera from Paypal to Allied Bank? Sabi kasi sa Paypal 2-4 business days. Nakaka 4 business days na wala pa rin kasi. Gano sya katagal? I called Allied Bank at wala silang (or at least yung officer na nakausap ko) kaalam-alam kung ano at paano ang Paypal. Hoping for your replies guys. Thank you!
