Last March 2006, I went home to my hometown, Cagayan de Oro City, from Metro Manila by riding the PhilTranco bus. It was a whole new experience for me. It was the first time I traveled by land for two days and two nights. I didn’t expect it would be that fun and tiring. It was fun because I passed by a lot of provinces and was able to see how beautiful our country is and it was tiring because it was very hard to sleep when you couldn’t fully extend your feet just like when you’re sleeping on your comfortable bed.

My most favorite view was the breathtakingly beautiful Mayon Volcano in Bicol Region. It was the first time that I saw it and I can’t help but feel awed of its perfect cone shape. I gazed at it for a long time and I felt sad that it would still be a long time for me to see it again.
