Knowing the site’s traffic is very important for site owners to know which pages of the site are most popular, location of the people are visiting the site, from which sites are they clicking from and what people are looking for on a site.
In Wikipedia, Internet Traffic is defined as the flow of data around the Internet. It includes web traffic, which is the amount of that data that is related to the WWW, along with the traffic from other major uses of the Internet, such as email. To know how much traffic your site is getting, you need to place a Hit Counter on your site.
What is Hit Counter?
A hit counter is an image displayed on your website that tells you and your visitors how many people have seen your website. You can also use your counter to see if new promotions have really increased traffic to your site.
Where can I get a Free Hit Counter?
You can get one at GoStats site stats. Counters from GoStats.com are very easy to put on your website. You don’t even need to learn HTML. All you have to do is signup, recieve an email, and then get a couple lines of HTML code that you will insert into your webpage to display the counter. It’s that easy!
