Ituloy Angsulong Awards

Whew tapos na ang Ituloy Angsulong! The last week was full of surprise twists and some disappointments. A total of P300,000 was given to all the winners, not including other giveaways from other sponsors and guests. The awarding took place at Metro Phi Resto Bar, VIP Room, 2nd Floor, B1-B Metrowalk Commercial Complex, Meralco Avenue, Ortigas Center from 7pm to 9pm. I CAME IN LATE DURING THE AWARDS NIGHT

The traffic was terrible last Friday. I left just few minutes after 6pm from Makati City but arrived at 845pm. Sayang, I never had the chance to win the Google giveaways, gift certificates, and Yehey notebooks. I heard many were looking for me when the Yahoo! winners was announced, but I got the check after the awards naman.

P1000 from Google and P9000 from Yahoo!. Life is good! After I got my check, I stayed for a few minutes. Marc and I talked about a business proposal he will discuss soon and I also met Alan Ocab, my design client who owns Paskong Pilipino. To get the check encashed right away, please go to Banco de Oro Paseo de Roxas Branch.

I LOST THE CHANCE FOR THE TRIPLE JACKPOT

I was very excited and happy to see my site ranked on the top spot just few days from the awards night. Gio, Marhgil and I are always changing positions every moment we try to check our ranks.

So why did I change my site design?

Hehehehehe, admittingly I changed my site design so I can win the Best in Design Award. Seeing Gio as the strongest competitor, I thought of changing my design, so that I will have an extra P10000 in case I lost the top spot and fall in the second spot (which if that happens, ill get P10000 from Yahoo, P1000 from Google, P10000 from best in design and P35000 from triple jackpot = P56000 total).

But on my birthday (February 21), My MSN rank fell from #11 to #35. Whats worse was that my Yahoo rank also fell from #1 to #2 because Yahoo decided to rank Dreamhost on top spot, making it #35+#2+#13= 50th spot. Mito offered he will redirect his ituloy angsulong site thinking it might help push my MSN rank but unfortunately it didn’t help. It was a sad birthday for me as I was really hoping to get the top spot as a birthday gift.

Eto sabi ni Eli’s blog on my unexpected MSN drop and his surprise rise to the third spot.

Wow hanep, how did I get the 3rd place spot ? actually I’m a big fan of Benj and Gio’s blog. What I did is get the idea of benj + my own SEO knowledge and follow the spam link of Gio. Also the most important thing happen is when Palconit changed his theme design. Lucky me!

Una sa lahat… I would like to thank God for giving me the winning rank on Yahoo. I am pretty sure he has a good reason why MSN rank fell down and I lost the chance for the triple jackpot.

We haven’t had enough time to talk and get to know each other better but your dream of making the Philippines the next outsourced country for Search Engine Marketing is really becoming a reality. I actually first heard about you from mito when the first SEO contest started.

WHAT’S NEXT?

    I actually thought, na isa ka sa makakakuha ng triple jackpot. sayang. you’ve been consistently on top sa tatlong search engines the past months.. i know. sinusubaybayan ko yan. :) pero yun nga, sayang. dibale, may next time pa naman (sana) hehe :)
