Collin and Adrian won the Amazing Race Asia 2

It is now confirmed and final! Collin and Adrian of Team Singapore won the Amazing Race Asia Season 2!

It is not because they know the ins and outs of Singapore, but because Adrian’s knowledge on world flags. They really deserve to outrun, outsmart and win the Amazing Race right in their own home country.

Collin and Adrian won the Amazing Race Asia 2

Team Philippines Marc and Rovilson hit their Achilles Heel when they decided Rovilson will do the final road block. I have always thought that Marc has a good memory when he got a road block (the one where they traversed from one post to another while counting numbers) right on the first try. That wrong move caused them to finish last. Well, they already have USD20,000 cash, free gas from Caltex, 4 Sony Handycams and a tour to South Africa, so no hard feelings. As what other people would say, give chance to others.

I guess the Sony Video Camera advertisement with Collin and Adrian together is the biggest clue of knowing who won the race.

    @buknoii

    I doubt it. Why would you think that?

  3. agpisces Says:

    The race was rigged from the start and it was clear the producers wanted Singaporeans to win. But they also wanted Marc and Rovilson to stay until the last leg of the race because they wanted the revenues from the SMS promo of the show.

    First of all, there was clear bias in deciding to have the last leg of the race in Singapore. Since one of the 3 remaining teams comes from Singapore, wasn’t it very obvious that finishing the race in Singapore gave the Singaporean team an unfair advantage over the other teams?

    Secondly, it was clear that the producers and organizers of the race knew about the backgrounds of the contestants, right? They knew that Adrian was very good with flags, so the final task, the most critical task of all, being just before the final pitstop, had to be something about flags. A coincidence? I don’t think so. The organizers knew about this fact and used this to give unfair due advantage to the Singaporean team, again.

    Thirdly, in one of the tasks in the final leg of the race where the teams had to kick a soccer ball inside the goal, it was very evident that the goalie just intentionally let the balls go inside the goal even if Adrian and Collin did not kick the balls good enough. Again, this task was full of bias because it was very dependent on how intense the goalie would attempt to prevent the ball from getting inside the goal. Of course, since Adrian and Collin were not as good as Marc and Rovilson in this task, they had to let the goalie let some of Adrian and Collin’s kicks get inside the goal.

    As long as this race is being produced by people from Singapore, I don’t think a Philippine team will ever win this race.

    @agpisces

    Well, If we start and finish the race in the Philippines and the Philippine Team wins, you will have the same comment from the losing team.

    But I agree that the race should start and end on a non-participating country.

  5. jp Says:

    Dear Agpisces, the legs were pre-determined. If you watched with unbiased eyes, you would notice that being in Singapore had absolute advantage to Adrian and Colin. There was no driving on the part of the participants. In fact Adrian and Colin came in last to the final task. Had it not been Rovilson’s lack of knowledge on world flags, they would have won. The philippino team (none of them are exactly pinoys though) had such a huge lead-in at the final task. If you also paid attention to last season, the winning team was Malaysian.

    Peace.

  6. jp Says:

    Oops, The second statement should have read “had absolutely no advantage to Adrian and Colin…” IF the producers wanted them to win, they would have arranged a taxi to whisk them off to the final task.

  7. Amazing race tv viewer Says:

    Collin and Adrain… You guys won fair and square. You were 3rd on home ground but did great in the final task and that was a honest win.

  8. Fe Iglesias Says:

    Dear Peace,

    True, Mark is an Aussie but Rovilson has a true-blue Filipino blood only he was born and raised in Canada. I just admired them both because they proudly brought along with them the Phil. flag in almost all of the legs (see their bags?). Perhaps they both think that this country is their “home”. Winning third is not too bad. Bigger opportunities are now knocking on their doors. We felt good because we’ve seen them really, really, worked hard, played fair and square.

  9. JS Says:

    This amazing team from Singapore was my favorite to win from the beginning. I was impressed with how respectfully they treated each other as well as the other teams. Their character and solid teamwork gave them the momentum to advance throughout the race and bring them out on top! Adrian and Collin, thank you for making this season so memorable!
    Rovilson made a comment that Adrian and Collin were the “underdogs” that won despite the odds, but the truth is that Adrian and Collin, like cream, rose to the top. The combination of their talents made them the best team overall.

  10. Animated Smileys Says:

    Lafayette is a great character and played very well by Nelsan Ellis, one of the reasons True Blood is doing so well is the diverse and well played characters!
