About the Movie
Based on the life of Chris Gardner, a self-made millionaire, this drama stars Will Smith as a man who finds himself jobless and homeless at age 30, living in a San Francisco train station with his infant son. Determined to beat the odds, he finds work as a trainee at a brokerage and climbs the corporate ladder, eventually becoming partner and owner of his own Chicago-based firm. [source] [official site]
My Movie Review
This is one of the best inspirational movies I have seen so far. Although this movie is based on a true story (which also means many of the scenes of the movie never happened), most of it are very similar to what really happened before he became a multi-millionaire. Reading his biography in Wikipedia, I can see he really worked his way up to success and it really inspired me and many people watching the movie to pursue each of our dreams and be happy in life.
Some movie reviewers say this movie sucks, saying the movie is an “insane set-up after another — mishaps, fires, impossible situations, people running around like madmen, obstacle after obstacle after obstacle.” But for me the movie was just trying to fit his life’s struggle in 1hr and 57mins.
This is a great inspirational movie for everyone. Why not watch again it on DVD?
