Why I don’t go to Starbucks that much…

I recently developed an addiction to coffee to keep myself awake. Coffee never used to have an effect on me, I tried to drink 2 cups but I was still sleepy. Now everything changed and coffee is something that can help me start the day.
When I was working for another company two years ago I was often invited by my boss to go to Starbucks and have a cup of coffee and talk about work and plans for the company. Although the price was expensive on my standards it was free and I can get away from work once in a while.
But now I stopped going to Starbucks because there is no point really of spending so much just for a cup of coffee. A regular 3 in 1 coffee costs a lot cheaper than a cup of coffee from Starbucks. The last time I went to Starbucks was when I was with my family so they can try an expensive coffee shake, when I was with my friends last Christmas season (We were actually in Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf because Starbucks was so crowded) and when I met with a client to talk about the project.
I think if I have lots of money I still don’t want to go to Starbucks just to have a drink. It’s already very crowded and loud and drinking at home is a lot more peaceful than staying in an air conditioned coffee place. Starbucks is only good when you have someone with you, a friend, colleague or client. Their coffee tastes like a regular coffee if you are drinking there alone.
Like most ridiculously expensive stores, we are actually paying for the name and the convenience it brings, not the product.
