Beowulf Movie Review
Posted on January 3rd, 2008 | |
I first read the epic poem “Beowulf” when I was 11 years old reading a High School book of a legendary Hero and King somewhere in Denmark and I remembered it was a good story. Since then I forgot the entire story until a movie of the same title was shown in theatres.
As you may know the story of Beowulf is an epic poem, considered to be the oldest surviving English literature dating circa 1010. This movie retells the story on a whole new 3D animation style (Motion Capture) added with some special effects enhancing the overall movie experience.
Last Christmas I again went to see the movie, this time on IMAX Theatre at SM Mall of Asia. It was my first time watching an IMAX enhanced movie and I was really amazed on the major differences between a regular movie house with the IMAX. If you haven’t tried before, I suggest you save some money (because its a lot expensive than the usual ticket price) and wait for a good movie you think will look good on IMAX. I Am Legend movie is coming out next week you might want to try seeing it on IMAX.
Recommendation: There is a great lesson in the story you should learn by the end of the movie. Go and see the movie yourself.
