A Different Marketing Strategy
With all the different marketing strategies implemented by small and big companies nowadays, a friend of mine finds it hard to penetrate the market and really get noticed. He is planning to open a restaurant that will have its own identity and show its uniqueness so that people will find it easy to remember his place. Some of the restaurants in the city offer the same type of food and services which is not really good if your goal is to become the leader in the market. Thus, what he wants is to have a new and unique concept that will definitely catch the people’s attention and will also stick to their minds. It is a very challenging task and he really needs help about it.
What we did was search for answers in the Internet and researched on some good answers for his concern. We came across a brandidentityguru.com which we know can give him the answer to his question. It discussed about the significance of Branding and its definition. We learned that branding is more than just a corporate logo or a company name. It is composed of several factors which greatly affect the business such as the brand’s promise, corporate environment, products and/or services and systems or procedures. Thus, with all the factors that need to be taken care of in a business and the saturated market that we have Continue reading »
Boston Web Design
My cousin who lives in Boston has just graduated with a degree in Business Management and he wants to open his own business. Since he loves to cook and he also studied in a Culinary School before, he wants to enter the catering business. It is such a tedious industry to work on but because he is the type who is very passionate in whatever he does, focused, determined to reach his goals and loves challenges, no one can ever stop him in his business venture. His family especially my Aunt is very supportive of his plan and they are discussing the ways on how to implement it.
They decided on the branding and other stuffs. After figuring things out, I suggested that he should also have a good website where people can place inquiries, suggestions and comments, check out products and services, and place their orders. It is a great way of expanding his market. He said that his friend told him about a popular and Continue reading »
Zaidolastik: Which is better Zaido or Lastikman?
Who is Lastikman?
Lastikman is a fictional character and superhero created by Filipino comics legend Mars Ravelo. Lastikman appears to have debuted in comics format – certainly in Aliwan Komiks (1964). There has been many movies in the past 50 years about Lastikman, and this character was portrayed by Von Serna (1958), Vic Sotto (2003), Mark Bautista (2004) and lastly the new television series starring Vhong Navarro as Lastikman. The costume design has long since improved since it was first conceptualized by Mars Ravelo, but the checkered design and the mask remained as his defining style.
Who is Zaido?
Zaido is an elite group of space sheriffs started by Gallian, a descendant of Dai Sawamura, the second Shaider. This television series from GMA is a spin-off from a popular Japanese TV series Metal Hero Shaider. Originally this was supposed to be a remake of the original Japanese TV series but the script was allegedly turned down by TOEI (TÅei Company, Limited) but allowed them to use the Shaider series not as a remake but a spin-off or sequel.

Looking at the first episodes today on both Zaido and Lastikman, I could say both have a good start Continue reading »
Loyal Customers need Loyal Servers
My friend has an online store which sells different commodities like clothing, bags perfume, gift items and flowers. The business has been thriving for around 3 years now and she has always been grateful for the loyal customers that she has and for the new ones as well. Customers love the ease of browsing through her site and they can purchase goods without any hassle. They love the convenience and the efficiency of buying through her website. With the affordable prices and high quality goods, clients would always love to drop by her site and check out her products. Site traffic was really great.
It was only recently when she had confided to me regarding the dwindling sales of her website. She mentioned that intermittent server problems had often occurred and she has been receiving a lot of complaint emails from customers regarding website accessibility. She feared that she will be losing a lot of clients in this manner and a lot of revenue too Continue reading »
My List of Prettiest Celebrities
Here are some of the best looking celebrities I have seen so far. Yes there are so many out there (considering the number of actresses all over the world) but these really caught my attention.
Affordable Wedding Preparations
I have an Uncle who is working in the United States and he will be getting married this coming December. He and his fiancée will be coming home in the Philippines on the first week of December to look over the preparations made before the wedding day which is on the third week of the month. He told us that they are both excited for their wedding and they want everything to be absolutely perfect. I asked my Uncle how he met his fiancée and he shared to me that their friends set them up on a blind date. The girl is also of Filipino descent and they both share a lot of common interests so they practically clicked together right away.
While preparations are being made, my Uncle asked me how he can add some spice to their wedding and make it more special. Furthermore, since some of their friends and families in the United States Continue reading »
Erap Guilty or Not Guilty? Judgment Day Today
UPDATED:
PRESIDENT ERAP ESTRADA:
GUILTY OF PLUNDER CHARGE

NOT GUILTY OF PERJURY CHARGE
[Download document from Sandiganbayan]
From ABS-CBN.com: The Sandiganbayan Special Division on Wednesday found former president Joseph Estrada guilty beyond reasonable doubt for the crime of plunder but acquitted him for the lesser crime of perjury.
Winding up a six-year trial that the 70-year-old had repeatedly insisted was politically motivated, the anti-graft court ruled that Estrada was guilty of plundering billions of pesos in tobacco excise tax kickbacks and bribes and sentenced him to reclusion perpetua.
—————————————————–
It’s been six years since Former President Joseph Estrada was charged with the Plunder Case. So many has happened and so many websites are already talking about it.
Here is an overview of the Erap Plunder Case
President Estrada is charged with violation of Republic Act 7080, or Anti-Plunder Law on four counts and also for perjury for allegedly lying about his Statement of Assets, Liabilities and Net Worth (SALN) for the year 1998.
Estrada, if convicted of the plunder charges, faces a penalty of reclusion perpetua, or imprisonment ranging from 20 years and one day to 40 years, with civil interdiction of marital authority and of disposal of property, and perpetual absolute disqualification from public office or profession based on RA 7080, or Anti-Plunder Law.
The anti-graft court will also announce its verdict on Estrada’s co-accused — his son and Senator Jose “Jinggoy†Estrada and lawyer Eduardo Serapio
I got my Nokia Battery Replacement
Thanks Nokia! They finally sent a battery replacement to my Nokia 2600. Its very good for me as my phone is no longer charging properly. The request took about 3 weeks and they sent the batteries from their Hong Kong office.
Here is the message from Nokia website advising users to have their batteries replaced
This is a product advisory for the Nokia-branded BL-5C battery manufactured by Matsushita Battery Industrial Co. Ltd. of Japan between December 2005 and November 2006. This product advisory does not apply to any other Nokia battery.
Nokia has identified that in very rare cases the affected batteries could potentially experience over heating initiated by a short circuit while charging, causing the battery to dislodge. Nokia is working closely with relevant local authorities to investigate this situation.
Nokia has several suppliers for BL-5C batteries that have collectively produced more than 300 million BL-5C batteries. This advisory applies only to the 46 million batteries manufactured by Matsushita between December 2005 and November 2006. There have been approximately 100 incidents of over heating reported globally. No serious injuries or property damage have been reported.
Consumers with a BL-5C battery subject to this advisory should note that all of the approximately 100 incidents have occurred while charging the battery. According to Nokia’s knowledge this issue does not affect any other use of the mobile device. Concerned consumers may want to monitor a mobile device while charging that contains a BL-5C battery subject to this product advisory.
Please note that only batteries from made Continue reading »
Is the book Rich Dad Poor Dad full of Crap?
Personally, I loved the book. At first glance on the first few chapters I could say this is one good book to read. I still haven’t finished the book yet though but I hope to finish it before the year ends.
THIS BOOK SUCKS
While checking for book reviews on Robert Kiyosaki’s Rich Dad Poor Dad, I stumbled about this site that strongly trashed Mr. Kiyosaki’s book as full of lies and should not be treated as a reliable source of information on how to get rich. The page by John T. Reed mentions that the Rich Dad never existed at all and the story of a story was fictionalized. Now why would a best selling author want to do that on a non-fiction finance related book? This was confirmed when Kiyosaki said “Although based on a true story, certain events in this book have been fictionalized for educational content and impact”. That itself made me think that the whole story never happened at all but just used to make the book interesting to read.
Here is an interesting excerpt from the site I want to share with you guys. This is how the book has hurt people Continue reading »
