Banco De Oro – Equitable PCI Bank Merger
Banco de Oro-Equitable PCI Bank merger (2004-present) is a plan by the SM Group of Companies and Banco de Oro Universal Bank, the fifth-largest bank in the Philippines, to merge with (although it is considered by some as an acquisition or even as a hostile takeover) Equitable PCI Bank, the third-largest bank. Call Center Career without any Calls
Do you want to work on a call center without having to answer any calls at all? Yes it’s possible. In fact you can even do it for 62 years, that is, if you still want to work at that age.
First what you have to do is get some education, some college degree and a good English oral communication skill. That’s basically what call center companies want from their employees these days.
So how to do it? Simple, you apply to a Call Center Company, get trained by the company on English Accent Training for two weeks and two weeks for Product Training (Some companies even longer). That’s a month of free training with pay, and the pay for a Call Center Trainee ranges from P12,000 pesos to P20,000 or more. But since the idea is to work without having to answer any call, or what others way work on the “floor” Continue reading »
Understanding copyright
There are so many sites out there (if not all) that has Copyright © at the bottom of the page. I doubt all of them know what Copyright really is and they just placed the copyright symbol because all sites are doing it and it makes the site more reliable and established. But there is more to Copyright that we need to know.
According to Wikipedia, Copyright means:
Copyright is a set of exclusive rights regulating the use of a particular expression of an idea or information. At its most general, it is literally “the right to copy” an original creation. In most cases, these rights are of limited duration. The symbol for copyright is ©, and in some jurisdictions may alternatively be written as either (c) or (C).
Copyright may subsist in a wide range of creative, intellectual, or artistic forms or “works”. These include poems, theses, plays, and other literary works, movies, choreographic works (dances, ballets, etc.), musical compositions, audio recordings, paintings, drawings, sculptures, photographs, software, radio and television broadcasts of live and other performances, and, in some jurisdictions, industrial designs. Designs or industrial designs may have separate or overlapping laws applied to them in some jurisdictions. Copyright is one of the laws covered by the umbrella term intellectual property.
Hosting Types and Services
Here is more info on Web Hosting I would to share. Basically web hosting is all about getting a space on the internet to place your files, whether it’s for a website or simply a place to share your files with other people. But there is more to hosting that what we currently know.
Hosting services include the following: a) Free web hosting service b) Shared web hosting service c) Clustered hosting d) Dedicated hosting service e) Virtual Dedicated Server. f) Collocation web hosting service g) Reseller web hosting h) Managed hosting service
I bet we all want to start with a free web hosting service just to check out how web hosting works, I know I did. Soon after that I learned that getting a paid web hosting service provides more features than the free hosting. I switched from free to the paid Shared Hosting Service since then.
Before signing up to any hosting service, free or paid, here are some types of hosting you will need to know so that you will know which service you want to get: a) File hosting service (hosts not web pages but files) b) Image hosting service c) Video hosting service d) One-click hosting e) Shopping cart software and f) Blog hosting service. Love for Restaurants
After a busy and tiresome week, I always want to unwind, relax and simply have fun, pushing all work-related matters at the back of my head. I usually meet my friends over dinner and eat in posh restaurants. It’s a wonderful time for us to catch things up with each other and talk about anything we could think of. We think that we deserve to give ourselves a nice treat for all the hard work that we put into our jobs. We love Japanese, Italian, Korean, American and of course, Filipino cuisine. Somehow we dream of traveling altogether to the United States Continue reading »
Pinocchio’s Nose
One of the famous fairy tales that children love to read and talk about is Pinocchio. It was considered a classic in children’s literature. Pinocchio was a wooden puppet brought to life by a fairy as a gift to a poor woodcarver named Geppetto. Pinocchio was an adventurous kid and there were times that he would lie to his father about his activities and as a result, his nose would grow as long as it could. It would only go back to its actual size if he tells the truth and do good things. If only rhinoplasty could be applied to him, then it would really make him look better but since he is made of wood, it would be impossible. That’s why when he realized the importance of love and honesty, he was turned into a real boy and thus, Continue reading »
Who is George Lindemann, Jr.?
I was asked to research about George Lindemann, Jr. and I had difficulty because there were some people who wrote that he is not the son of a billionaire but some also said that he is indeed a billionaire’s son. In my own opinion, I would stick to the more positive side of the story and dwell on the information that he is a billionaire’s son. His father is George Lindemann, Sr. who is a tycoon of Contact Lens, Oil and Cellular businesses. He got an impressive education, held executive positions and looked up to as a generous philanthropist Continue reading »
Your hair is a crown of glory
Proverbs 16:31 which tells us that “Gray hair is a crown of glory; it is gained in a righteous life.” This speaks of wisdom as you grow with age. On the lighter side of it, hair itself is a crown of glory because healthy and shiny hair makes people look good and feel good about themselves. It boosts their self-esteem. But somehow not all people get to enjoy great-looking hair. Many have become bald caused by genetic and sometimes environmental factors. Psychological effects for people who experience hair loss vary widely. Some people may adapt to it comfortably while other individuals experience severe issues relating to anxiety, depression, social phobia, and in some cases, identity change. Continue reading »
